Supported Language Options in Hogwarts Legacy

If available, the game will play in the language set in your Console or PC system's language settings. The languages listed below are included with the physical and digitally downloaded versions of Hogwarts Legacy. Some languages may require an additional download to be accessible. The available voice and subtitle options will vary between different locations, which can have an important impact on your experience with the game. Make sure that when you purchase the game, it's the appropriate version for your desired language, account region, and geographic location.

Changing Language Settings or Downloading Language Packs

PlayStation®5

Available audio languages are accessible for PlayStation®5 players through downloading voice pack add-ons.

To access and start downloading your voice pack add-ons, please follow these steps.

1. Ensure the game is not running.
2. Go to your PlayStation®5 Settings > System > Language and Region and select one of the supported languages. Make sure to also switch the region accordingly to the selected language.
3. In the [Games home screen], scroll all the way to the right and select [Game Library].
4. Highlight Hogwarts Legacy from your Installed Game Library.
5. Press the Options button on your DualSense™ controller and choose [Manage Game Content].
6. Additional audio language packs are displayed here and can be queued up for download by selecting the download arrow icon next to your preferred language.
7. Wait for the language pack to download and install, and then start the game.

Xbox

1. Ensure the game is not running.
2. Go to your Xbox Settings > System > Language and Region and select one of the supported languages. Make sure to also switch the region accordingly to the selected language.
3. Accept the prompt to restart the console.
4. Launch the Hogwarts Legacy and accept the prompt to install the language pack, then observe the loading bar at the top-right of the screen when getting to the Main Menu.
5. Wait for the installation of the language pack to complete (it may finish before you get to the main menu).
6. You can now enjoy playing in the selected language.

Nintendo Switch / Nintendo Switch 2

Additional languages are accessible for Nintendo Switch players by downloading language data add-ons for the game. To access and start downloading your preferred language pack, please follow these steps.

1. From the Main Menu of your Nintendo Switch, locate the tile for Hogwarts Legacy and press [+] on your controller.
2. Select [Software Information] > [Nintendo eShop].
3. Scroll down to [Downloadable Content] and select [View All Items].
4. Here you will see all available content for the game that can be downloaded. Scroll down and check the language pack you wish to download and select [Proceed to purchase].
5. When the download is complete, return to the Nintendo Switch Main Menu and launch the game.
6. Upon launch, you will encounter [Select Language] prompt. Select your desired text and audio language.

If you need to change the language settings later, you'll find [Language] and [Audio Language] settings under [Options] -> [User Interface Options].

PC Steam

1. Ensure the game is not running.
2. Launch Steam and open the Library menu.
3. Locate Hogwarts Legacy and right-click on the game. Choose the [Properties] option.
4. In the menu that opens, choose the [Language] tab.
5. Left-click on the drop-down menu that appears and select your desired language. A small update for the game will occur. The game UI and subtitle languages will be changed when you next launch the game. Audio will change as well if that language is available. 

Epic Games

1. Click your profile icon in the top right corner of the Epic Games Launcher.
2. Click Settings.
3. Select your preferred language from the Language drop-down menu.
4. Click Restart Now to confirm the language change and restart the Launcher.
