Harry Potter: Magic Awakened Servers FAQ

To help with any questions you might have related to the Harry Potter: Magic Awakened servers, we went ahead and created this F.A.Q. to assist you.

Which servers are currently available to play Harry Potter: Magic Awakened?

Servers for Harry Potter: Magic Awakened are available by region, and some of them are also soft launch servers, servers that were available before the global release!

• Africa: Acromantula*, Nundu
• Europe: Bowtruckle*, Mooncalf, Puffskein
• North America: Diricawl*, Ridgeback, Opaleye
• Oceania: Basilisk*
• South America: Occamy
• West Asia: Hippogriff*, Chimaera, Augury

*Soft Launch Server

Will the Soft Launch servers be opened for everyone or will Soft Launch players be able to migrate to live servers?

Soft launch servers will be open for anyone to join within that region, including new players! Players cannot currently transfer their accounts to other servers at this time.

Can Soft Launch players create additional characters on additional servers?

Yes! Soft Launch players can create additional characters on additional servers while maintaining the unique progress of their Soft Launch characters.

Will Soft Launch alternate profiles and related purchases be recoverable?

Yes! All game progression including purchases on the Soft Launch servers is recorded. They are not lost. We are currently working on a way for players to retrieve their guest accounts after they failed to connect a Player Network Account. 

Now that the game has entered global launch, are soft launch players forced to remain on Soft Launch servers?

Soft Launch players are welcome to create additional characters on additional servers while still maintaining their original characters. Characters created on “new” servers will have their own unique progression.

Are servers within the same region linked, and can players add friends and play content with other players in different servers within the same region?

Yes, most servers within the same region are linked*. Players within the same regional servers can add each other as friends, be roommates, and team up for the Forbidden Forest and Dance Club together. 

*Soft launch servers are not linked to other servers within their region yet. 

Can players have the same username on different servers, but still be on the same central server? 

Yes, currently players can still have the same username on different servers. Creating a username does not lock players out of choosing the same name on a different server. 

Are players from the same Regional servers competing on the ‘local server’ pvp leaderboards? 

Yes, local server pvp leaderboards are shared across any server in the same region. 

What about the Soft Launch Servers? Will players from Soft Launch servers be able to be friends with players in other servers in the same region?

Currently, Soft Launch servers are separate from other servers within their region, and cross-server functionality such as adding friends and teaming up with other players from regional servers is not available. We are working towards changing this in the future and will share updates when we have more information on this.
