Developer notes – This Patch is aimed to improve and optimize the game’s visuals and performance for all game modes on the newly released PlayStation®5 Pro system.
All Game Modes
- All modes have improved sharpness thanks to PSSR when compared to Base PS5

- Higher Dynamic Resolution target when compared to Base PS5
- Increased View Distance Quality
- Improved Foliage/Rock/Structure Quality
Fidelity Mode
- Higher Dynamic Resolution target when compared to Base PS5
Fidelity with Raytracing
- Higher Dynamic Resolution target when compared to Base PS5
- Sharper game-wide Ray Traced Reflections
- Enabled Ray Traced Reflections on bodies of water across the game
- Realistic Ray Traced Shadows enabled
Additionally, over 150 PlayStation®5 and PlayStation®5 Pro affecting Bugs have also been addressed and fixed. Most notable are listed below:
Overland/Hogwarts
- Fixed instance where invisible collision would prevent the player from moving around in the Hufflepuff bedroom area. HL-19816
- Fixed instance where a treasure chest would spawn at an inaccessible location before Charles Rookwood’s challenge Boss Battle. HL-19549
- Fixed instance where Multiple Fwoopers would spawn on top of each other, resulting in unintended behavior.
- Fixed instance where a pool of water could be seen floating above ground by the entrance of a treasure vault in the Northern Hogwarts region.
- Fixed instance where a seam would be visible on the Atrium Side of the Haunted Shop Dungeon.
- Fixed instance and removed a floating pile of books that could be found in the Dormitory area of the Gryffindor Common room.
- Fixed instance where a gap in geometry would cause light bleeding at the base of the pillars of the gate that leads to the Transfiguration Courtyard.
- Fixed instance where a seam would be visible along a column in the Slytherin Dungeon Hallway.
- Fixed instance where a seam would be visible along a column near the Male Slytherin Bathroom.
- Fixed instance where a seam would be visible on the building behind the West Hogsmeade Floo Flame.
Stability
- Fixed instance where game would occasionally crash after completing an Ancient Magic Hotspot.
UI
- Fixed instance where unintended pop-up would be displayed at the end of the game credits.
Missions
- Fixed instance where buying a broom from Spintwitches would cause the ingredient collection tallies to reset. HL-18873
- Fixed instance where there would be chance of losing the Puzzle Cube when crossing the floor trap within a dungeon.
- Fixed instance where Fastidio would become invisible until he summoned his monster after reloading a previous checkpoint.
- Fixed instance where the Avatar could move freely while still in the process of learning to brush a Puffskein during the Beast Class mission.
Avatar
- Fixed instance where a specific character preset’s eyes would protrude out of their eyelids when they are closed during cinematics.
VFX
- Fixed instance where upgraded Incendio visual effects would cause the flame to shoot upwards. HL-19713
- Fixed instance where Lumos butterflies would become invisible around the Avatar’s wand after opening the Field Guide.
- Fixed instance where Spell cast VFX could be seen during cinematics.
Lighting
- Fixed several lighting issues when moving along the Gryffindor Lower Hallways during the day.
- Fixed instance where lighting would pop in and out of view when entering and exiting the Arithmacy Door in the Faculty Tower.
- Fixed instance where interacting with the Frog Statue and teleporting in the faculty tower would occasionally cause lighting and texture inconsistencies.
- Fixed instance where some shadows would abruptly pop in and out from surfaces when moving closer or farther from the entrance to the Great Hall.
Photo Mode
- Fixed instance where some assets would display animation inconsistencies when activating Photo Mode.
